Welcome to another edition of the News Digest as we wrap up the cold, winter months! This month sees some important developments for organisations and practitioners.
As time passes, there is further information regarding those for whom vaccination is mandatory. Residential Aged Care and Disability Workers must ensure that they have a plan in place to receive their COVID-19 vaccine. Further changes are also occurring in the community care sector with the second phase of the updated payment arrangements for Home Care Package providers being introduced on 1 September.
There are more and more resources and services being offered online now. There are grief and trauma support services including counselling being offered online by several agencies. With Dementia Action Week coming up in September, events and services will also be held online. Dementia Australia has been active in ensuring that members of the community living with dementia are best supported during the pandemic.
